The Making Of Max

My spiritual journey began in childhood when I was deeply fascinated by science. I was fortunate to attend a program at Brooklyn College for astrophysics, inspired by the moon landing and the night sky, which instilled a sense of connection to something greater. My mother and sister, both deeply mystical, further influenced my spiritual awareness. Growing up on 14th Street, I was exposed to integral yoga and began practicing yoga, Zen, and macrobiotics as a teenager.

My passion for science and spirituality continued at Columbia, where studying quantum mechanics reinforced my belief in their connection. Quantum mechanics, with its focus on fields, waves, and frequencies, mirrored my understanding of the interplay between spirit and science. Volunteering for the Dalai Lama, I delved into sound frequencies, creating a sound room to explore their effects deeply. This exploration led me to Barbara Brennan School of Healing, where I continued my journey in sound and self-realization.

Parallel to my spiritual journey, I developed an entrepreneurial spirit rooted in my upbringing in my father's haberdashery. Surrounded by major American brands and their marketing, I was involved in window dressing and alterations early on. My education at FIT and Parsons honed my technical skills in design, where my mathematical background and visualization abilities excelled.

My fashion career blossomed from these experiences, leading me to create my own brands and work for beauty companies. Currently, I'm developing a men's line to address unmet needs in the market. Growing up in New York City, especially in the vibrant neighborhood of Little Spain, influenced my design aesthetic. My studies in semiotics at Columbia deepened my understanding of the significance of images, impacting my fashion creations.

In fashion design, I incorporated my physics knowledge to understand stresses and vector forces, ensuring practical and aesthetically pleasing designs. My father's haberdashery, a distribution hub for American brands to Spain and South America, provided a foundation for my entrepreneurial ventures. Today, I aim to merge my spiritual and entrepreneurial backgrounds, focusing on community building and the importance of food in fostering connections.

One of my key projects is Mama Gaiam, a community initiative based in Chelsea and the Village, aimed at creating a positive local and global impact. By fostering a sense of community and collective meditation, we aim to influence the broader environment positively. Our garden parties and private group facilitate connections among like-minded individuals, promoting strong relationships aligned with our mission.

Central to my work is the belief that self-love and self-worth are essential for manifestation. Without these, no amount of workshops or affirmations will suffice. True manifestation stems from self-empowerment and self-realization, overcoming obstacles to recognize one's worth. This aligns with knowing oneself, where resistance dissolves, and one's true essence naturally manifests.

In my ongoing work with sound, I explore how different frequencies can break resistance and align individuals with their higher selves. Techniques like Qigong, stillness, and energy projection are integral to this exploration. Understanding solfeggio frequencies and their impact is my current focus, aiming to harness sound for spiritual growth and self-realization.
